About Study Sets

Study Sets are used to generate learning activities. They allow you to group your own Content and those created by the community. You can enroll or create your own Study Set.


Creating a Study Set

  1. Under the Study section, click Create under the Study Set subsection.
  2. Enter an informative Study Set name and description.
  3. (Optional) Add terms that you will define later. You can enter the same term multiple times.
  4. Click "Create" at the bottom.


Adding Content to a Study Set

There are 3 different ways to start adding Content to a Study Set, but first you need to determine which term you want to add. First, you can add terms when creating a Study Set. Second, click "Add Content" on an existing Study Set that you can modify. Third, navigate to a Content and under the Study tab click "Add to Study Set". For the first two methods, additional steps are required:

  1. If multiple terms are found based on your search, determine the specific term you want to use.
  2. Search for an existing Content, under the Community tab. If you find something you like, then click "Use Content". Continue with the instructions if you want to create your own Content instead.
  3. Select the specific Content type based on your desired purpose.
  4. Enter your study material.
  5. (Optional) If you want to upload an image, click "Show Image Upload" for more options.
  6. Submit to create your new Content.


Enrolling to a Study Set

The following are two ways to enroll to a Study Set:

  1. Under the Study Set section, click Enroll. Enter the case sensitive Study Set Idenfication value, which is found at the top of each Study Set page.
  2. When you find a Study Set, under the Study tab click "Enroll".


Using a Study Sets

  1. Under the Study section, click View under the Study Set subsection.
  2. Click the "Study" button.
  3. Under the basic Study Set information, select the study activity you like.
  4. Customize the activity to meet your needs.
  5. Click the "Start" button.


Editing a Study Set

  1. Under the Study section, click View under the Study Set subsection.
  2. Click the (edit) button.
  3. Enter the updated information.
  4. (Optional) Click "Manage Moderators" to add or remove moderators to the Study Set.
  5. Click the "Update" button.

Removing a Study Set

Instructions to unenroll from a Study Set:
  1. Under the Study section, click View under the Study Set subsection.
  2. Click the (unenroll) button.
Instructions to delete a Study Set if you are the creator:
  1. Under the Analyze section, click View under the My Contribution subsection.
  2. Click the Study Sets tab.
  3. Click the (delete) button for the item you wish to delete.
